| Mutual exchange |
| Kent Homechoice now hosts a mutual exchange website . Mutual exchange is available to all public sector tenants. You are a public sector tenant if your landlord is the local council or a housing association. |
| You can move home using mutual exchange by swapping your home with that of another public sector tenant. |
| You can use this site to find another property you would like to exchange yours for. When you register you can say what sort of property you are looking for. Then you can log in any time and search for possible matches. |
| If you do find someone you would like to swap with the next step is to contact your landlord. Forms for each landlord in Kent are from the web site. Remember you cannot do a mutual exchange without GCHA’s permission. |
| It is unlikely you will be given permission to exchange if you are in breach of your tenancy agreement in some way, examples are rent arrears and anti-social behaviour. Please check with us at an early stage to avoid disappointment. |
| If you click on the link below this will take direct to the mutual exchange web site. |
