Gravesend

Our history

Gravesend Churches Housing Association (GCHA) has been providing affordable homes in Kent for almost 60 years.

We were formed in 1964 by members of local churches who recognised the need for more affordable rented housing in the area.

We now manage 600 properties in Gravesham, Dartford and Maidstone.

We are a Community Benefit Society registered with the Financial Conducts Authority with charitable status, (16849R). We are also registered with and regulated by the Homes and Communities Agency (LH0870).

Our vision

We aim to open doors for those in need of high quality, sustainable and affordable housing.

To deliver our long term vision, we aim to continue to:

  • Be a local housing provider
  • Deliver services that meet the needs and aspirations of our diverse communities
  • Remain financially strong
  • Maintain high quality sustainable housing

What makes us different

Not only do we have purpose at heart as a social landlord, we also provide a personal service as a local housing association. Most of our staff live in the area we serve, so we know our communities and get to know the residents who live in them.
